If we are under the barter economy, how many Chan Seven does one Lionel Messi worth?
Silly question. We should consider in whose shoe we are in first. If I were Chan's father, even a hundred Messies would not count. However, if I were the owner of Barca, a hundred Chans would have never meant as a little toe of Messi. So, intimacy is one of the main factors to decide upon this puzzle.
Suppose we are impartial football fans, the footballer of the world would no doubt outweigh the footballer of Hong Kong. But, one day, if Messi leaves, it would create only one vacancy. That is, no matter the quality of the successor, that vacancy could only be filled in by one person, even he is Chan Seven. Thus, realistically speaking, we could only exchange one Chan for one Messi.
