At 64, George Lam held three consecutive music concerts, with the theme "vintage", in Hong Kong Coliseum. This sole piece of fact is worthy of praise.
I watched the second one on 18 June. While entering into the stadium, it was funny to note that most of the audiences were in their 40s or 50s. I felt young again. The show, with all four stages opened, was fully occupied. Unlike other concerts, laser beam could only be spotted sporadically. Mature people tend not to play toy.
The show kicked off at 8:30 pm. It developed according to timeframe, from 70s to now. Obviously, Lam had his golden time in 70s to late 80s, songs then comprised a heavier portion of the concert. Though Lam could attain his senior citizenship in a mere year or so, he could still perform with a staggering quality. Rhythm, pitch and power, Lam had hardly made any mistake. It was especially stunning to hear those rappings. Nowadays, many talentless people claim themselves rappers. It is a sheer disguise. They should have their faces reddened if they have come to this concert. And even more amazingly, the show finished at 11:30 pm.
According to a hit advertisement, it claimed that even the sharpest sword would get rusty one day. To me, Lam's blade was still quite intact. Even if it is going to be oxidized, Lam would be sharper than those freshly manufactured toy knifes.
