A Bullying Boss - 20100223

English Prime Minister Gordon Brown is in trouble water. A reporter, Andrew Rawnsley, alleged that Mr Brown physically bullies staff working in No. 10 Downing Street. The claim was echoed by Christine Pratt, the boss of an anti-bullying hotline, who said her organization received several calls from civil servants to solicit help.

Though Brown and his alley, for example, Lord Mandelson as well as Sir Gus O'Donnell, have categorically denied the allegation, his already sub-par image is nevertheless stained.

Some of the surveys suggested that bullying in the workplace is commonplace. It would be quite astonishing for me to know that this type of survey could successfully find subsidy to run. I mean, who in the workplace would not be bullied by their boss? It is simply impossible. Bullying is such an emotional and agitate word that every one of us would incline to use, when boss's direction is received. However, only when bullying is physically conducted would it be undoubtedly over the top.

It is funny to know Mr Rawnsley's background, too. Being a history graduate from the prestigious Cambridge University, with a first-class honour, Mr Rawnsley has been sticking in the field of media throughout his worklife. It's really "ten thousands whys" for us Hong Kongers to understand his queer choice. Does he find money so unbearably stinky?
